Tanning

Tanning prices include in-house skinning, flensing, and salting work charged at $35/hour PLUS the tanning fee and shipping fees charged by the tannery. Please allow AT LEAST 8 months for all tanning projects as the tannery gathers large batches before processing. It’s worth the wait—they do excellent work!

Whidbey Island Taxidermy assumes no responsibility for nor guarantees tanning. Occasionally there is a defect in the skin or deficiencies in the field preparation, for which we are not responsible.

We do not take hair-off tanning projects. We suggest you contact Centralia Fur and Hide, Inc., by calling 360.736.3663 or visiting www.furandhide.com for additional information.
